Persistence of ZOZ memories - page 3 In the ZOZ, when we have millions of ZOZ objects interacting on a planetary scale, we don't get to reboot or restore from backup. No single part can be isolated or shut down or even repaired without affecting many other parts across the planet and galaxy. In real life, when you wreck your car, you don't get to "reboot" it from last night's backup! You might be able to get a repair shop to un-bend the bends and re-paint the paint and replace engine parts with new parts until it is "restored" to its prior beauty. But that makes the point: we can only move forward, taking what we have NOW and moving it toward a NEW state. In today's world, if a non-ZOZ cash register is destroyed, we might replace it and restore its software from a backup copy. But if a ZOZ cash register is destroyed, it will already have transmitted transactions to various credit card companies. It will already have ordered item from various on-line vendors. And those venders will have already dispatched trucks to deliver those items. We can't simply re-boot the cash register: its effects have already spread far and wide. ZOZ objests will be intertwingled so deeply that none of them can simply be "backed up" or "restored". Like the real world, the ZOZ cannot go back to a prior state. It can only move forward.
