If you are evaluating an incremental change in something that would make it 10%, 20%, 50%, even 100% or 200% better, but adds complexity -- JUST DON'T DO IT.

COMPLEXITY IS THE ENEMY!

Define "better" as better in the long term, not in the short term.

Find a system that is simpler, smaller, more efficient. Even if it will cost you time, energy, research, development, investment to create it -- JUST DO IT.
