The Z-network - page 1

Every Z-device has a unique serial number, customer ID, and an encryption key, burned into it when manufactured.

There are no IP addresses or setup configurations. You just turn them on and they connect. You can remove a Z-device from one location and relocate it somewhere else and it will automatically reconnect itself.

All Z-devices -- with the same customer ID -- will automatically find each other and network amongst themselves, communicating either by Z-wire (explained on the next page), or by bluetooth, wifi, or whatever other means.

The owner, consumer, end user, customer, need have no knowledge of any network, its details, or even its existence. To them, Z-devices communicate by magic.
