The big picture - page 2 The ZOZ has only one function: it transports data from any one ZOZ object to any other, anywhere in the galaxy. Every ZOZ object is identified by a unique-in-all-the-galaxy serial number, coded into its Link when manufactured. (ZOZ "links" are actually "WIZ chips" of course, but we shall continue to call them "links" in this context.) The ZOZ "machine language" has only one instruction, which consists of a pair of serial numbers, generally written with an arrow ("=>") in between, pronounced "to". EG: 838393049483049 => 29833923 This instruction causes the ZOZ to find the first object, serial number 838393049483049 in this example, and get from it one datum, a number, of any size from 0 to a zillion digits, and transport that datum to the second object, serial number 29833923 in this example. The two objects may be anywhere in the galaxy. Wherever they are, the ZOZ will find them and transport one datum from the one to the other. These objects then *DO* something with this data.
