How SMALL can the hierarchy of ZOZ objects go?

Inside each ZOZ object is a Link chip, which is itself a ZOZ object, and might contain within itself millions of very tiny computational ZOZ objects. (It is actually a "WIZ" chip, detailed in the WIZ sections of this document).

The hierarchy ends there. We can't actually go "ad infinitum" as the poem at the beginning of this chapter would suggest! The smallest ZOZ objects will be these computational nano-circuits which add, subtract, multiply, divide, and so on. They are not made of ZOZ objects -- they are made of transistors. "The buck stops there".

I said a refrigerator might have thousands of ZOZ objects. But that leaves out an important fact: that each of these thousands of ZOZ objects has a Link, a WIZ chip, which itself contains millions of nano-sized ZOZ objects in it. Thus we may actually have *billions* of ZOZ objects in a single refrigerator! They range in size from the fridge itself, a ZOZ object perhaps 2 meters tall, down to transistor circuits a few billionths of a meter across.
